So Cameron has brought the appalling, and desperately over-rated Ken Clarke into his shadow cabinet as Business Secretary.That of course is Mr Cameron's business and his choice.
BUT, never allow him to crow of his party's euro-realism in the future as he most assuredly will when the EU elections approach. He has nailed his colours to a particular mast - now he must accept that he will be judged accordingly.
No cabinet containing this europhile can ever claim to be in tune with the majority in this country who want a distancing from the European Union.
