Baroness Ashton, The EU's new High Representative for Foreign Affairs, has declared that she "Will be a strong voice for the EU in foreign policy and not an extension of the British Government."Phew! Such a relief. I'd had this horrifying nightmare scenario in mind that she might actually support her own nation's best interests occasionally.
