That well known leftist, David Cameron, has attacked Margaret Thatcher for failing to 'respect' the public sector yesterday as he vowed to build on Tony Blair's reforms of schools and hospitals.Now, I could list The Iron Lady's failings - but the positive points outweighed the negatives which made her probably the only PM in my lifetime where this was the case.
Nonetheless, it was still during her tenure that I left the Conservative Party all those years ago.
In a head to head with Cameron, there was one area where she could never lose. SHE was a 'conviction politician'!
