Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (28 June 1712 – 2 July 1778) was a major Genevan philosopher, writer, and composer of 18th-century Romanticism. His political philosophy heavily influenced the French Revolution - (which may be our first clue.)

He was a fool. Heavily educated as he was - he effectively believed in letting children remain without formal education and run loose like savages. A pie-in-the-sky buffoon - it is tragic that many silly leftwing ideas can be traced directly back to this man.
