The man who killed a four foot long rat in Consett last month - which I am sure was not a coypu as claimed by a few - has received death threats!

A pest control officer in Sheffield told me the same kind of lunacy can and does happen in Sheffield.

When these loonies say 'animal rights', they are completely off beam with the second word!

I'm just waiting for the story to break: 'Local man demands voting rights for marmosets!' (At one time that would have meant extra Labour votes - but now, with all the centre left parties we have about at the moment our simian friends would have a choice!)

Aside. A similar sized rat was viewed alive by my Mum at Hull Fair when I was a baby. It gave her a crazy nightmare which resulted in her falling out of bed and breaking ribs!

Second Aside. Coypu only ever prospered in East Anglia. I heard a report that this alien species had died out in any case. AND if one had survived - more had, because the one killed was actually pregnant! AND what were they doing in the North East, in any case?
