Soft Drinks Tax Mooted?

To tax soft drinks on the spurious grounds that this will 'cut obesity' is as wretched a principle as piling on alcohol taxes.

It is a moneyraising scam - like all the rest. Literally ANY excuse to slap an extra tax onto something.
