Debbie Abrahams, Labour MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth, yesterday wrote in the Yorkshire Post demanding laws to ensure prompt payments from supermarkets et al to their ill-used suppliers.This is a scandal and support should be given to the many small and medium businesses taken to the brink by these abhorrent practices.
(Naturally, when this was in the news regularly during Labour's last reign - we must obviously ask why they waited until in opposition before desiring this essential legislation!)
