So. The word 'liberal' apart - what do the liberal left and the liberal church have in common?

Neither is interested in a God's eye view.

Neither is pragmatic.

Both are compromisers with truth.

Both close their eyes to reality.

Neither is capable of taking the tough decisions.

Both will operate using their own pet theories as a guide.

Both will take the word 'love' and use it out of context.

Both have the arrogance of 'always knowing what is best for the rest of us' when wrong themselves.
