Bail - The Reality.

One in seven murders in Britain is committed by suspects freed on bail while awaiting trial for other crimes, according to disturbing new figures. This includes the 2007 case of teenager Adam Swellings (pictured), who was on bail for assault when he murdered father-of-three Garry Newlove (inset) in Warrington, Cheshire. Swellings had been allowed out despite a long history of breaching court orders, and killed Mr Newlove in an unprovoked attack, alongside two accomplices. Mail.
