Half the respondents in Lord Ashcroft's recent poll on
immigration thought that 'immigrants were likely to be doing the jobs that Brits
were not prepared to do.'
Much as I disapprove of uncontrolled
immigration - more than the immigration question - this is an issue about how wretchedly poor are our controls on the benefits system!
