I am afraid that I was never a fan of Andrew Strauss's heavily defensive strategies in his captaincy. Good results however, were still inevitable because of the players around him.
Alastair, to me, is Strauss Mark 2 - but an even more defensive fielding captain.
He should return to batting and slipcatching in which he excels.
