Nelson Mandela Saved The World From God's Wrath.

A rather silly little man at the Beeb called Evan Davis made a comparison between Nelson Mandela and Jesus The Christ. It speaks much of the man's lack of education and the folly of the BBC for employing him. (But then - that's probably what he was told to say!)
Seemingly, Mr Mandela was put to death to redeem us from our sins.

Isaiah 53:5.  But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
