Weapons In School.

What does all of this mean? I went through an entire school career as a pupil carrying a penknife.
Nobody batted an eyelid. Many lads did this - along with bits of string, rubber bands and all sorts of other paraphernalia.
Nobody even complained when we played leggastretch which involved flicking a knife into grass, blade first, and each person trying to force the other to reach a point when they could stretch no further.
Society is now so ill-disciplined that we are all paying the price of excessive liberalism.
