Wasted Food.

Apparently the average family bins the equivalent of six meals a week. They should come to our house and see the opposite end of that scale. I should say that the equivalent of less than one meal is lost during the course of an entire month. The secret? - It is in being organised and knowing precisely what is in your fridge. Periodically, I look for food which might be in danger of becoming unusable - and I use it before that happens. Not exactly rocket science, is it? Wasting food in a world where people are starving is a sin!
(I must wonder if a too rigid following of sell-by dates may not be largely responsible.
