Simpleton Alert.

John S Murray, Moorside Road, Honley, Holmfirth.
I LIKE being in the EU. I like the fact I can travel anywhere in the European Union without ‘let or hindrance’ as the old passports used to say. (It doesn’t need to say that now).
I like the fact that I can live, work, study, or holiday in any of the 28 countries and go easily from one to another.
For readers who do not get it - this man is prepared to sell our sovereignty; accept corruption, welcome bureaucracy; see us swamped by immigration; have us turned into paupers; be bossed by imperialists all so going through passport control is not too arduous.
He argues in favour of the euro - well, the EU will still have it! He argues that he wants to work, study and holiday in the EU. Well, what will stop him? I studied at university pre-Common Market/EU in Madrid - and worked, too! Astonishingly, I was also permitted to go on holidays throughout Europe.
Surely, this letter was a wind up. Nobody can possibly be that naive - can they? Was this really the sum total of the 'remainist' argument? - Yes - I suppose it was!
