Steven Woolfe, Ukip’s immigration spokesman, has launched a bid to succeed Nigel Farage, pitching himself as Britain’s first mixed-race leader of a major political party. The former barrister said he was best placed to take over from Farage, who resigned after the EU referendum saying he had done his bit and “wanted his life back”. Guardian.
