I almost wonder if the shenanigans before his election, with some rather dubious characters being outed as charlatans, was actually part of God's plan. It will certainly now be much easier for Paul whose toughness towards those who are troublemakers was demonstrated when he was Party Chairman back in 2008.

Interesting who will get the deputy leader's job. One would expect it to be someone from the Faragist wing of the party and surely, there will be a place for Suzanne amongst the big guns.
Naturally, Jonathan Arnott will be in the upper echelons of the party again as he is the finest political brain in Ukip.
