Viewers OUTRAGED by Muslim leader who claims husbands can 'beat wives as a LAST RESORT'.

A MUSLIM community leader astonishingly claimed it was acceptable for a husband to beat his wife if it was a “last resort”.
Keysar Trad, president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils made the claim as he was quoted a verse from the Koran during a live broadcast. 
Sky News presenter, Andrew Bolt, read: “It is permissible for him to beat her light with his hands.” 
Responding to the passage, the Islamic leader claimed he had studied the verse “in depth” with a number of “Islamic scholars” to conclude its meaning.
