Mastermind of ISIS ‘Ramadan invasion’ wiped out by airstrike.
THE mastermind of behind the ISIS “Ramadan invasion” has been killed in an airstrike in Iraq, it has been confirmed. The ISIS attack, dubbed the “Ramadan invasion”, had readied 11 suicide bombers before it was foiled by the US-led coalition forces.
Sadeq al-Husseini, head of the security committee in Iraqqi Diyala provincial council, said: “Confirmed information showed the death of the mastermind of ‘Ramadan invasion’ in Diyala in an airstrike near Hawija.
“IS [Daesh] attempted through the ‘Ramadan invasion’ to destabilise security in some of Diyala cities including Baqubah through sending 11 suicide bombers who infiltrated from Hawija toward Mutaibija then toward the province to carry out crimes and kill the innocent.”
