The Delightful Southern Poverty Law Centre.

Man, I hate this. For the Colson Center, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
The battles over so-called gay “marriage” and religious freedom continue in our nation’s courts. And there’s another and very ominous front we can’t ignore either: the marketplace.
Take Vanco, a company that processes payments and donations. They recently cut off the Ruth Institute from their services.
Why? Because, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Ruth Institute is a hate group. It’s a hate group because it seeks to end the breakdown of the family, supports the Christian vision of marriage between a man and a woman, and believes that biology determines sex and gender.
As disruptive as losing this service was, Ruth Institute president Jennifer Morse clarified that Vanco should have the right to practice business according to their convictions, and so should florists and photographers and bakers in the wedding business.
Exactly, and it’s critical that we support organizations like the Ruth Institute—not just with our donations, but with ingenuity and entrepreneurship, providing services that Christian businesses and non-profits may soon need to replace.
