England Throw Away Winning Position In 4th NZ ODI.

Having set a mighty 336 for New Zealand to chase and then dismissing the Kiwi openers without either troubling the scorers, how was defeat even possible? After all, the two Yorkshire batsmen, Bairstow and Root, both had already scored fine centuries.
Well. The later England batting was singularly inept and prevented a super score from becoming an impossible one.
The England bowling, after the opening overs, was between ordinary and poor; Mo Ali dropped a straightforward catch off his own bowling which proved critical; the captain was far too prepared to let NZ have easy singles - a regular failing of his, IMHO.
In the end, it was an incredible knock from the injured Ross Taylor which ensured that the series now stands level at 2 - 2.
