When 'living over the brush' began to become the norm and marriage was sidelined - the Church was largely silent; the Church bottled out from telling congregants how they should live a Christian life; the Church looked the other way - and in some of the more liberal vipers' nests, this social decay was actually welcomed. The teaching of Scripture became of a distinctly secondary importance to the 'wisdom' of sinful, self-justifying mankind.
When the next step on this road to perdition came along - the Church had already frittered away the moral high ground.
If one type of sinning is okay - then surely all others must be acceptable too. So many churches were weak - and in many places - downright wrong!
With God, you are not allowed to cherry-pick your way through The Bible!
