CSW For Leah.

We’ve been working hard on the next stage of our campaign for Leah Sharibu.
You may remember that Leah was one of 110 girls abducted from their school in Dapchi, Nigeria by Boko Haram in February 2018.  The next month, following negotiations by the government, the girls were put into vehicles to go home.
However, Leah wasn’t among them. She wasn’t released because she refused to convert in exchange for her freedom.
Here's what we're planning next.
200 Hours for 200 Days
Thursday 6 September will mark 200 days since Leah’s abduction. 200 Hours for 200 Days is a prophetic protest, inspired by Leah’s perseverance. We want to bring home to people just how long Leah has been held captive, and demand an end to this injustice.

Between 9am on 4 September and 5pm on 12 September (200 hours), each of us will take a turn to stand at this solitary school desk in front of the Nigerian High Commission. Stand in prayer. Stand in solidarity. Stand in silent meditation. Stand and shout for justice for Leah.

With enough participation from each of us, plus high profile leaders and media interest, we want to increase the pressure on the Nigerian government to take decisive action.
Sign up for your hour here

Can’t get to London? Wherever you are, you can still play a big part for Leah.

On the 200th day, Thursday 6 September, we’re asking Christians to flood social media channels with selfie films urging churches to speak up for Leah.

You can also:
  • Ask church leaders and Christians with media influence to take part in the protest, or to share a selfie film on 6 September
  • Share your selfie on 6 September holding up the message #FreeLeah
Not on social media? No problem

From writing letters, to fasting something for 200 Hours, find lots more ways you can get involved here.

If everyone who receives this email does something, that will be 16,000 petitions, letters, prayers and shares. Together we can see Leah released.

Blessings
Dave

PS. You can download more copies of the petition here. Because this is such a time-sensitive case, we’re taking petitions to the High Commission every few weeks, so please send them in as soon as you can.
