Even Lefties Can Make Truly Great Fims.

It is exactly 50 years since I first saw Ken Loach's 'Kes'. If ever there was a cinematic masterpiece - then surely, this was it! David Bradley gave, what must be, the greatest acting performance ever by any youngster. How sad that his subsequent career was so uninspired.
If you have not seen this before - don't worry - the film apparently can have subtitles! (It is Barnsley, after all.)
And what is more, if you are a PE teacher it might be better to take your heart tablets before watching Brian Glover's unforgettable scene on the school football pitch.
Poignant, inspiring, depressing this probably ranks safely in my all time Top Five of great films.
