As this is a word invented purely as a derogatory term for the English by Scots, may we reasonably assume that any usage of it will be classed as 'a racist hate crime?'
If not, why not?
Our leftist friends who would go ape were the English to affectionately use Jock, Paddy or Taffy, would undoubtedly turn to the English and accuse us of hypersensitivity in the presence of a word designed to denigrate and create offence.
Of course it can be used jovially but, by and large, it isn't.
As an NEHGS, (New English Half Gibraltarian Snowflake) I want people to know that its usage leaves me crying within. I am left in a mental turmoil. I am off my food and feel belittled. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen and suffered. Worse still - nobody cares!
