Not Time But Chemical Processes.

EXCEPTIONAL PRESERVATION EXPLAINED.  The Burgess shale in Canada is known for its exquisitely  preserved soft bodied creatures buried in fine grain sediment.  Rock layers with similar characteristics are found across the planet.  An international team of scientists has made a detailed study of the chemistry of a number of these and concluded the exceptional preservation is due to a layer of calcium carbonate layer rapidly precipitated directly from the seawater which has sealed them off and prevented any microbes from accessing chemicals they need to break down the tissues of buried animals.  Creation Research.

ED.COM.  This research was published in 2012 and it confirms what Creation Research has been saying for decades before that.  Preservation of fine details in soft tissues requires the right chemical processes, not time. This not only applies to the Burgess shale fauna, but to all fossils that contain preserved soft tissue structures.
