I used to buy this newspaper 40 years ago but it always seemed to manage to position itself beyond the left of the Tory Party - so I stopped wasting my money.
Nowadays, with the Tories three - maybe four - further steps to the liberal left, it has managed to reposition itself even further left than Rishi's Tory wets.
If it was left of centre back then - where is it today, one might reasonably ask?
