                    Surely this case has to be retried.

The report by a neutral, international commission which states categorically that no babies were murdered is beyond disturbing.
The truly troubling point here, of course, is that the finger of suspicion pointed 15 times towards the same person and zero times seriously at any of her work colleagues. 
Make of that what you will.
I am not necessarily convinced of her innocence yet but cannot believe that the mark of beyond reasonable doubt had ever been achieved during her trial.
Cases based on circumstantial evidence alone must always be treated with the utmost care.
The judge in the trial must be investigated for the wellbeing of the general public.
