Know why rape convictions run at just 7%?

Had you ever wondered why rape convictions run so pathetically low in this country? This Blog has already considered 'the feminist factor'.
Here are reasons two and three:

"A binge-drinking woman who accused five innocent men of rape walked free from court.
Tracy Brooks, 26, wasted massive amounts of police time when she made two false allegations against two friends within the space of a month last summer.
The men were arrested, questioned, held for hours in custody and faced the prospect of a lengthy prison sentence if her claims were believed.
But weeks later, she came clean and told detectives the allegations were false."

So. False allegations muddy the waters.

The third reason is almost beyond rational belief. This woman was NOT jailed!

This notice does not exist - does it?

Unintended - caused by stupidity.

The 'law of unintended consequences' is something which is inevitably going to affect liberal left governments more than most.
The reason why, is that they work against the grain of human nature and voter needs; they work to agendas of how they believe life should be rather than how it actually is.
The numbers of examples for this government are many and varied.
But consider further back in history, the abolition of the grammar schools. Who could have foretold that destructive efforts 'to improve social mobility' would have had the reverse affect?
The system worked purely on postcode, thus condemning intelligent working class children to their local comprehensive, which would tend not to be of the best.
Inevitably, middle class areas would had generally better comprehensives anyway because of attitudes to education within that class and so the intelligent working class were denied access because of reasons of location.
The problem became worse because the middle classes operated their own 'selection system' by deliberately buying housing in the better catchment areas. Who could blame them for wanting the best for their children?
40+ years on, the left are still trying every possible means to remedy this gross inequality whilst at the same time refusing to countenance the only thing which can achieve that goal - to restore the grammar school.

EU propagandises young minds!

I was talking to the person who presented the anti-EU case on behalf of Civitas in a debate in a sixth form in Harrogate yesterday.
He was most concerned that these students - particularly, I suspect, the ones following courses in politics and economics - were so pro-EU, with very few voices departing from the common line.
A senior europhile was trotted out and was utterly destroyed in every argument he raised. Whether this debate has had a corrective effect on these brainwashed youngsters remains to be seen.
But how is it that the EU has been permitted to propagandise in this manner in schools? The expensive, glossy literature just pours in. [If any arrives in our school, factual matters will be passed to children and propaganda binned.] Congratulations to this sixth form at least, for allowing the opposite side of the argument to be heard. [After the 'anti' success, will there be an invite again next year, I wonder?]
It is little surprise that so many young minds will not be able to cope with the relentless onslaught.
I suspect that taking an anti-EU line in 'A' Level examination answers would be extreme folly today.
This is all so deeply sinister.

Don't punish the innocent to get at the guilty!

Like most teachers I have always tried very hard to avoid all blanket punishments and to be honest, that is not always possible.
Where governments are concerned however, their first reaction is to impose blanket punishments to solve problems.
Many smokers cause problems and so all smokers are persecuted to a ridiculous degree.
Many abuse alcohol - so the innocent must be made to pay more for their alcohol.
Some drivers abuse speed limits so those who go a fraction above must be pilloried and targeted. TWOCers steal cars and race through our streets so we must all be punished with chicanes and road bumps.
It goes on. Consider the methods to make us all become more 'green' and also take into account that the government usually wants to tag yet another tax onto any such situation.
Simply put, we have got so used to this kind of treatment we do not even think about alternatives.
There is an alternative - and a much fairer one!
Zero tolerance on all bad behaviour. In other words, PUNISH THE GUILTY!

Jefferson. Rock on Tommy!

"... a wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own persuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities." - Thomas Jefferson.

His first inaugural address (as reported in "The Freeman", the journal of the Foundation for Economic Education)
NICE THOUGHTS - shame about the spelling.

Illegals MUST be deported.

Anybody and everybody has the inalienable entitlement to try to improve his/her life.
However, we all disapprove of those who try to do so by being criminals and social parasites as this is unfair on all the rest of society.
Just why is there such a lack of interest in challenging these two groups by the government?
At least it is consistent - it also ignores illegal immigrants who are equally a challenge to our nation.
We must get tougher. Every illegal immigrant must be arrested, given an appeal within 7 days and should that fail, be deported to country of origin, with neither excuse nor delay.
The message MUST be sent out that the UK is NO longer a soft touch.

The idea of there ever being an amnesty must be destroyed. We have been laying the foundations for a social calamity - and the first walls are beginning to take shape.

The working class.

" The white working class are far more pessimistic about Britain's future than their middle-class counterparts, a survey reveals today.
More than half said no one represented their views and that their quality of life had got worse over the past decade.
Some 71 per cent of those polled also said they thought crime rates had gone up in the past ten years, compared with 66 per cent of the middle class.
The survey was carried out by Newsnight as part of the BBC Two's White season, which examines what it means to be white and working class today. "

Why has it taken the working classes so long to realise that Labour and Lib Dems and to some extent the tories do not represent them and have not done so for at least 20 years. Ethical, conviction politics has been replaced by political correctness whilst rewarding the dissolute and the undeserving.
So what will the working classes do? They will go and vote labour as usual except for the few who will vote BNP as a protest.
'As ye sow, thus shall ye reap!'

The C of E.

I am perhaps overstating the case very slightly if I point out that the Anglican Church teaches that the Old Testament is cancelled out by the New, but I feel that I am certainly not too far off the mark.
The OT prepares for the New; is fulfilled by the New and certainly many of the more obscure rules are clearly specifically for the Children of Israel under the Old Covenant and could not easily be applied to Christians under the New Covenant. [Quick. Hide the prawn cocktails!]
The general conduct of society, remains unaffected. The conduct of the individual however, is expected to have developed considerably.
There were cases were Jesus clearly made this point. " I have NOT come to abolish the Law."

Even so, in Mark it states "Thus saying He made all foods clean."
Sadly, some have misinterpreted what Jesus says in The Sermon on The Mount. 'Turning the other cheek' is clearly an injunction to the individual believer and NOT to society - if we take it otherwise, the Scriptures cease to make sense.
Nonetheless, 'throwing out babies with bathwater' must be carefully avoided.

Paisley.

So the doughty Ian Paisley is to retire after decades of political leadership and steadfastly standing up for the Scriptures.
A true 'hate figure' for the left, he was an outstanding preacher and I know because I was there at Handsworth Full Gospel Church when he had a preaching engagement back in the 80s.
I did a taped interview with him that night and found him a fascinating man.
Contrary to the media presentation, he was clearly somebody who just oozed compassion for his fellow man - and YES - this most emphatically included Roman Catholics! Even Shirley Williams, in a fairminded moment, praised him in the Commons for his efforts to help his catholic constituents.
It struck me that night how easy it is for the media monkeys to take extracts out of context and use them against somebody whose character they wish to diminish.
Ian Paisley has been victimised for berating the IRA, for criticising sellouts to the Roman Church and his refusal to compromise on the Christian Faith. In recent times, some Orange Order extremists have also attacked him for trying to bring peace to N. Ireland.
Little wonder then, that he attracts so much bile all round!

On top of all this, he has been a true character.

Spaced out Moses dood.

Hey der u doods. Ah iz knocki' owt anuvver Blog and I iz high an it taint fro life.Knowwhatimean? Innit?

[So that is me and Moses, both, eh?]

Congratulations to Professor Shanon who has turned out to be a 'bit of a Benny'. The drug-ridden academic has claimed that Moses was 'high' on acacia when he got the decalogue.
Ta for the laugh, Ben!

[Your bit of 'donkey droppings' is right up there with the disciples being high on mushrooms and jointly and severally believing wrongly that Jesus was resurrected, all as popularised by the pathetic John Allegro.]

As for the 'swoon theory' in which Jesus, who had not been crucified properly after 4 beatings, a Roman flogging and 6 hours on the cross - not to mention a spear in the side - meant that revived by the agreeable coolness of the tomb, He said. "Mmm. feeling considerably refreshed - I reckon I'll just pop this 2 ton rock out of the way and go for a walk. Oh look. Some disciples. I think I'll see if I can play a joke on the lads and pretend I've risen from the dead. Tee hee. What a jolly prankster, I am."

[Oh dear. Just what is the matter with these people?]

Evidence?

Evidence must be verifiable or it is not evidence at all. Your opinions are not evidence. Your gut feelings are not evidence and if you have 'cried wolf' before Mr Fayed, even what you claim to have personally observed will be seen as utterly unreliable.

Wildly guessing that there might have been a conspiracy to murder Dodi and Diana just will not do! Causing a fuss and getting nasty just makes you look very silly - malicious even.

You may be vehement and sound plausible but this is no substitute for facts which may be proven. My heart goes out to you in your pain but a dose of realism would help you far more than public paranoia.

The deaths were a tragic accident. Let them rest in peace.

Freedom of speech?

Scrapping the blasphemy laws, according to Christian Voice, is not about freedom of speech at all, but is rather about freeing people to insult God the Son.

Astonishing, isn't it? Political correctness is all about ensuring that nobody's 'finer feelings' may ever be hurt - yet the Saviour of all mankind may be derided and mocked (again) and Christians profoundly upset.

Any hint of a double standard here?

Can we call it a triple standard, I wonder, when we recognise that the current anti-discrimination legislation will inevitably embrace and lovingly protect other religions and with extra special care for Islam?

I am not a gambler but here is a wager. In future, you will be free to portray and insult Christ to the utmost, but if you dare to state in public anything even mildly negative about Mohammed, you WILL be arrested for a breach of the peace - or worse.

Odds on?

Is Cameron for real?

David Cameron has lost the plot. To add to two years of what has so often been drivel, he is now talking about 'quotas' in order to get more women into any future Tory cabinet.
Does this buffoon not realise that 'real' people never want 'equality of outcome' but just want to see the bigger jobs going to the best candidates. If they are all men - then fine; if all women - then fine; if all black - then fine but 'positive discrimination' works actively to promote the less talented over the most talented.
He is also talking about "criminals compensating their victims."
Well let me tell you, 'Dave', that this will not work. 90% of the thugs will plead poverty and will lose £3 weekly from benefits at worst. In addition, this will be a bureaucratic nightmare to exacerbate the already overstretched system.
I know. I have worked in Fines Courts - where you pursue those appalling people who wantonly refuse to pay fines, costs and compensation and who may not be jailed!
The last time I saw a statistic for Sheffield - 50% of fines had not been collected.
Please 'get real!'

Christians horrified by benefits shambles.

What sort of fools do not want to promote stability in society through marriage and the family? In the immortal words of Michael Miles take your pick:-
1] the Labour Party. 2] The Lib Dems 3] The tories 4] All three.

The answer is - wait for it - D.

Any who think that the conservatives would be an improvement have just not grasped what the Major government did to destabilise the family. Cameron is only 'talking the talk'. Expect - NOTHING from that source.
Meanwhile, "three out of four ordinary families would be better off living apart than sharing a home under Labour's benefits system."

Acceptable racism?

"HUNDREDS of soldiers and their families who fought for the British Army are living in poverty in Reading and surviving on less than £30 a week."

As these loyal people are Gurkhas who have truly 'done their bit' for Britain, what else could we expect?

Well - slightly worse actually, as these tremendous soldiers have never been granted full military pensions - they only get a fraction.

This is not that silly definition of racism where somebody is awarded hundreds of thousands for 'hurt feelings' but nasty, calculated, systematic discrimination.

Appalling!

[Compare to treatment of the 90% of asylum seekers who, according to Blunkett, are bogus.]

Naughty Beeb!

3,000 people from across the country came to Westminster on Wednesday to lobby their MPs for a referendum on the revived Constitutional Treaty.

Interesting though, that the BBC, through Ceefax, reported this as being just 'hundreds'.
Had you never previously grasped that they really do have an axe to grind?

Mellow yellow - now.

A rare piece of applause on this Blog for a tory group. Windsor council is abolishing all of its driver-persecuting, double yellow lines.

Naturally, the moronic environ-mentalists will be in uproar. They prefer to have the greater congestion and extra pollution caused by having hapless people driving around desperate for somewhere to park.
They work from a base of visceral hatred and seldom from logic.

This Blog has already considered the negative effects of not having sufficient, available roadspace.

Can you really send your kids to the comp?

Do you want to know why I have spent such a large portion of my life helping to run a Christian School?
Do you believe that there really is no need?
Well. Take the time to read this link and you will be shocked into recognition of why we do what we do.
How can any responsible parent EVER send their children to be educated in the amoral state system if there is a Christian school nearby?

Please read the link and promise not to get too angry!

Education down the toilet.

Bureaucracy and political correctness and a failure to educate are ruining both schools and childhood according to a new report.
We KNOW! We have known for decades!

The findings come in a report, Childhood Wellbeing, which was commissioned by the Department for Children, Schools and Families after a recent Unicef study found British children were among the unhappiest in Europe.
