Girls as young as 13 are receiving birth control implants at school without the knowledge or consent of their parents, a survey by The Daily Telegraph has revealed.

The survey found that school nurses have provided contraceptive implants or injections to girls between the ages of 13 and 16 on more than 900 occasions over the last two years.

TEACHERS MUST NOT MARK THE WORK OF THEIR OWN PUPILS! It has always caused problems as well as turning teachers into UNPAID slaves of the examination boards. Marking these assessments et al can take weeks out of an overworked teacher's year.
Bad in some subjects over years, in English it has been especially gruelling.

Victim Of Crime - But All's Well That Ends Well.

FYI, yesterday I was 'victim' of a team of pickpockets in a supermarket.

A foreign-sounding man in advanced middle age, and apparently slightly disabled, asked me to help him lift an item of shopping which I did readily.

Being a tad mistrustful, I then checked my tight,zipped pocket at the side of my thigh. It was open and my wallet gone!

I abandoned my basket and raced about 30 feet to where he then was and demanded the return of my money repeatedly with my voice rising several octaves with each demand.

Suddenly, an old man of about 75 or so appeared from nowhere and called to me and pointing to where my wallet was lying intact at the side of the basket.

Oh! 'I must have dropped it'.

It had defied gravity, lifted itself upwards, undone the stiff zip and leapt out of my pocket and cast itself onto the floor at the precise juxtapositioning of my lending assistance to 'this unfortunate'.

Had I not caused a major rumpus there would have been some desperately serious consequences for me.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find anybody around to apprehend this clever pair of malefactors.

Airline Legroom Scandal - BA Comes A Shameful 21st For Legroom.

Last  year, I flew to Capetown and the distance between seats was horrendous. I am not speaking of my rather oversized stomach as a problem but of the tilted seat in front back to just 4 inches from my chest. Great fun in BA degradation class for a 12 hour period!

Seat tilting in such restricted places should be banned! My only surprise in this survey is how high BA came!
