I recently read an article about what you would be sent to prison for in Spain. Along with many other European nations, the threshold for custody is actually much lower than in the UK.These countries jail much more easily than we do, especially where recidivists are concerned.
Yet it is here where the largest prison population in Europe can be found.
There is a logic which escapes our social workers and politicians which I hope will not be missed by my readers.
