If you make contact with me, whether SKY, a business or the local council, how dare you call me be my first name without me having given leave for you to do so?Are you a work colleague, neighbour, family member or friend? Have you known me long enough to be afforded that privilege?

I had actually forgotten just how much this practice annoys me until a friend made this very point yesterday from his dealings with presumptuous officials.
