Let us be totally clear. I DO NOT want AV voting BUT there is one reason why we have no option but to vote in favour.It is expensive, messy and does not change the fundamental problem that parties like UKIP which would gain some 60 seats under proper PR, will have their supporters remaining disenfranchised!
No. The real point is that a vote against AV will be taken as a hearty endorsement for FPTP and NEVER again in my lifetime will there be the opportunity to vote against First Past The Post.
The real tragedy here is the LibDem sellout. For decades they have wanted to hold the balance of power so they could bring in PR. When it finally occurs - they bottle it!
