"Mr Hague repeated his old burning building speech and explained things about the EU he does not like. As Foreign Secretary there is one very simple question for him. What is he doing about it? Why won't he get on with renegotiating the UK position? Most UK electors want a trade agreement but do not want to be bossed around by a high spending legislature poking its nose into our domestic affairs." John Redwood.
I really like John Redwood. As a politician he has a great deal going for him BUT is he yet another tory who doesn't realise about acquis commaunitaire? - We are so hogtied by EU rules - dating back to the mid 50s - we CANNOT do what he proposes!
What we could perhaps do is QUIT THE EU TOTALLY! Associate membership is a certainty. All the trade advantages and virtually none of the lunacy!
