I ask a simple question to readers: 'Do you honestly believe that the PIGS countries (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain) would be in their current economic states had they not been members of the EU?
The natural followup question would ask whether or not you believe that these crises have been exacerbated by their membership of the Eurozone?
(May I also note that these countries have taken monies for countless projects in vast amounts when the same 'grants' have simply not been made available to the UK!)
