Cameron, Osborne, Boris, Gove: Folly By Any Other Name.

This quartet, amongst a fair number of others who should have known better, have nailed their colours to the mast of so-called gay marriage.
Fine. Let's put to one side the small fact that they did not include this in any tory manifesto - it was an issue where there might have been clear blue water between them and those other parties a cat's whisker to their left - but not so.
I do not think these ivory tower dwellers have the slightest inkling what they have done by being so out of touch with all but the 'chattering classes'.
I am beginning to lose count of the Christians I know who are calling themselves 'former conservative voters' because of this matter alone.
In addition, I have spoken to a number of others - far from being established Christians - let alone being of my evangelical persuasion who are stating the same.
If the tories lose a million votes on this matter - I would not be at all surprised although half that figure would seem a minimum.
The Ukip shift? What about those who vote by measuring 'lesser evils'? - They may now shift allegiances to any other party.
Can the tories really afford this? A thumping beckons in the next two lots of council elections as well as in the EU elections of 2014.
