A 20-year-old woman and her family in Lahore are living in fear after she escaped from a forced marriage to a man who left her pregnant. 'Sara' reportedly told Release partners who are supporting her and her family that she had been abducted last year,
last year, forcibly converted to Islam and treated as a virtual slave by her attacker and his family. She managed to escape and return home – but is now pregnant. Her attacker has since visited her and threatened 'dire consequences' unless she comes back.She told Release partners that she had used public transport to get to her job as a housemaid and had attracted the attention of the bus conductor. He proposed marriage several times but she always refused.
