Meteorology Versus Climatology.

Could the Met Office have been more wrong? Just before floods, secret report told councils: Winter will be 'DRIER than normal'... especially in the West Country! Mail.

I am well aware of the distinctions between these two sciences. It seems abundantly clear to me, however, that if we cannot 'do' meteorology properly then we certainly cannot pretend to 'do' climatology!
