I Defend My Split Infinitives.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with split infinitives! Who made up the silly rule to banish them from 'good grammar'?
I wish to clearly state that I reject all attempts to impose arbitrary rules on my syntax which can so often lead to extremely clumsy sentences. (I have enough of those anyway.)
