When Luther produced his 95 Theses in 1517 - he wrote
these for Roman Catholic academia and not for general
consumption.
He had not budgeted on the invention of the printing
press. His ideas, initially, were propagated by owners of such as they were
literally 'the best seller of that age'.
In attacking simony, the sale of indulgences and popes
being above Scripture- he was attacking the very core of his
church.
HE HAD NO INTENTION OTHER THAN
TO PUT THE ROMAN CHURCH BACK ONTO A PROPER TRACK.
However, Luther was used as God's tool which led to
the rise of Protestantism.
Ironically, Luther was also responsible for some
improvements in the Roman Church.
Today, much is made of his anti-semitism by leftist academics and atheists but in that - he was merely a product of his age and cannot really be judged for this one serious flaw.
