New here and I'm sure it's been asked, but Islam to its core defies everything the left stands for: gay rights, feminism, equality, etc. It's really bizarre and I can't find an explanation for it.
There's far more than that which Islam stands for which should offend leftists! 
And, the answer is that leftist 'thought' precludes all logic!
