Gillick competence is a term originating in England and is used in medical law to decide whether a child (under 16 years of age) is able to consent to his or her own medical treatment, without the need for parental permission or knowledge.
The standard is based on the 1985 decision of the House of Lords in Gillick v West Norfolk and Wisbech Area Health Authority.[1] The case is binding in England and Wales, and has been adopted to varying extents in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.[2][3] Similar provision is made in Scotland by the Age of Legal Capacity (Scotland) Act 1991. The knock on effects of this horrendous legal decision can easily be determined by looking at: Rochdale, Rotherham and countless other council areas where predatory groups of, men largely from certain ethnic communities, have been allowed free range to sexually abuse young teenagers - and indeed, pre-teens.
The left remain wholly silent as their plan to abolish real families has seen the wheels come off.
This time it was in Telford where the problems of parents being left totally in the dark regarding the activities of their children has surfaced. When the facts are kept under wraps by the wicked, colluding authorities who are terrified to be seen as 'racist', we have a mega social problem. Councils and social work departments - and even police - manage these monumental cover-ups. Nonetheless, this is not just a racial issue - it is far broader.
It is not as if this hopeless state of affairs came about from do-gooder incompetence and folly - that was only a small portion of the project - the bulk was put in place with malice aforethought.
These monsters are protected by a largely leftist media who should be hanging their heads in shame. Under-reporting, over years, by the BBC has been a thorough disgrace.
