| Vietnamese lawyer Dai and his assistant Le Thu Ha have been released |
Christian human rights lawyer Nguyen Van Dai and his assistant Le Thu Ha were released into exile yesterday after two and a half years in prison.
Mr Dai has spent his career speaking up boldly for victims of human rights abuses, including religious minorities, across Vietnam. As a result, he has been repeatedly harassed and attacked and had previously served four years in prison.
CSW has campaigned on his case in every advocacy meeting, UN submission, and dialogue briefing on Vietnam we’ve had since his arrest. So many of you have stood with him through letter writing, campaigning and prayer. Thank you so much
