John Mackay On ISCAST.

The latest issue of Eternity Magazine, the mouthpiece of evangelicals downunder, has an article by ISCAST (Christians in Science and Technology) about how there is no real conflict between present day science and Christianity so sceptics should hush up! Talk about fake news ... both ISCAST and Eternity should be ashamed of themselves as a simple check of any ‘scientific’ view of climate change that removes the Creator as inventor and supreme authority over weather who causes it to bless or judge, is at odds with Christianity. Indeed all theories of evolution with their millions of years of death and struggle are a savage attack on Christ as Creator and Redeemer, who has told us the truth from the very beginning. In fact the basic philosophy of all ‘modern man based’ science is that in all issues of natural sciences, God’s Word is irrelevant, which IS the ultimate conflict that should concern all Christians. Is it possible that the sceptics are more honest and objective about this than ISCAST seems to be? Come on Eternity ... you have a great aim to evangelise, which we can support, but you are undermining God’s Word from beginning to end with such inaccurate misleading rubbish from ISCAST.

Yes we are sure this will upset ISCAST supporters, and for sure there are those who will claim that such criticism should not be stated publicly against any who call themselves Christian – but our policy is and always will be ... private comment deserves private rebuttal, but public comment about Christ and Christianity, which is what this Eternity publication is, deserves public rebuke. Now enjoy some of the latest discoveries that the scientists in ISCAST and elsewhere should take serious note of.
