Luke stated that Jesus was going into Jericho - ergo, the Scriptures are wrong.
One small problem to that. Archaeology has revealed that in that time period, Jericho, as was, was based in four separate city locations half a mile apart.
Logical conclusion - BOTH VERSIONS are correct.
Luke was, of course, an impeccable historian.
