Second Test, Day One.

Root won the toss for the seventh consecutive match!
After a poorish start by England's top order, the mighty Sam Curran put England back on track sharing a record, last wicket stand with Jimmy Anderson.
On a tricky pitch, 285 was a most respectable score and should have been better but for skipper Root gifting away his wicket.
Nearly as bad was Foakes who was seemingly happy to be given out caught for a ball which had not gone anywhere near his bat. He chose not to review the appalling decision!
Jack Leach took a wicket which left Sri Lanka on 26 - 1 and facing a tough test on a pitch which is already taking spin aplenty.

An Outrage Goes Effectively Unpunished!
