England Lose The Ashes.

In spite of awesome backs-to-the-wall batting performances from England down the order with Overton and Leach - and with England running down the clock at the end of the day - the Aussies took Overton's wicket to win the match by 185 runs with minutes to spare.
The Aussies may have retained the Ashes but we all know that they only won because Steve Smith plays for them and not us.

We move onto the final test next Thursday where England could, theoretically, level the series, at least.

I hope Number One son thoroughly enjoyed this incredible day out with friends and is not too disappointed tonight with the result not having gone our way.

Cricket is the greatest sport and nothing less than wonderful theatre as well as being a total art form.
