Dear Tories: Why I May Cast A Vote Your Way Next Election.

It is, to the best of my recollection, close on 40 years since I last cast a vote for the Tories.
As a person, I do not care for Boris at all. I do not think that the party is much more than yet another soft Tory/Lib Dem crossover but it is improving, albeit slowly - even if this is only that the party is responding, more than usual, to the vox populi. That is A POSITIVE.
Boris has taken us out of the EU (well done.) That is A POSITIVE.
In the negotiations with Brussels, Boris and sidekick, David Frost, have demonstrated the only negotiating worthy of that name in the history of UK/EU relations. That too is A POSITIVE.
Trade agreements are taking shape - Switzerland was a mega coup! That is A POSITIVE. Massive trade deals with Oz and India are in the pipeline. Tremendous POSITIVES.
We have not yet made silly concessions to Brussels - That is another POSITIVE - just so long as it stays that way.
In spite of wretched bickering in some quarters - with only a relatively small handful of exceptions, the government has handled the Covid situation far better than we could have ever imagined any government doing.
Stay pragmatic and my vote is there for you to earn - but any weakening in bargaining with Barnier is detected beyond the most minor of concessions - and that precious vote will be lost to you.

Please Do Not Forget Leah.
