- He was pronounced dead at 9.47pm local time

Having someone wait in prison for 30 years only then to be put to death is an unspeakable disgrace.
The USA is making a mockery of justice. Once sentenced - a time limit must henceforth be put in place for all appeals to be entered. I would suggest that everything must be fast-tracked into a maximum period of two years or preferably much less.
This is largely the fault of defence lawyers who work to a principle of delaying justice taking place.
