Nearly 23 per cent of the cost of household electricity is made up of green taxes, including part-funding investment in renewable generation and paying energy companies to subsidise energy efficiency improvement in poorer households. Last year these charges added £162 to the average electricity bill of £707.

Deep-drilled shale gas is: inexpensive; causes a fraction of the damage done to the environment by mining AND the most of the shale gas we have lies so deep that loud and ignorant green campaigners who claim that it will start landslips are 100% wrong.
They have deliberately mixed shallow mining into their outrageous claims.
